Surviving the COVID-19 Infodemic — Can You Trust Dr. Google?

According to the World Health Organization, the world is fighting the COVID-19 pandemic on two fronts — the disease itself and a related “infodemic” that it says is just as dangerous as the virus. An infodemic is an overwhelming flood of information, misinformation, rumours, and outright scams that make it hard to know what to trust. Misinformation such as false preventive measures hurt public health efforts to control the illness and put peoples’ lives in danger. In this webinar, you’ll learn about the work underway to curtail the spread of misinformation. You’ll also get practical tips and tools to help find reliable sources of health information and evaluate its quality.
