There has been a growing demand for real-world evidence (RWE) by policy-makers across Canada and worldwide. The role of RWE is becoming increasingly important in developing evidence-based drug policy and reimbursement decisions. This talk will introduce the topic of RWE by presenting studies conducted by the Ontario Drug Policy Research Network to examine potential applications, sources of data, strengths and limitations, and impacts of RWE on drug policy.
