CADTH Lecture Series – Dr. Fiona Clement

CADTH is hosting a series of lectures by prominent scholars and opinion leaders to share their perspectives on some of the most pressing issues facing health technology assessment (HTA) and health care today.

We invite you to attend the next lecture which is being presented in partnership with the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement (CFHI). Imagining the Impossible: Redefining Canadian Health Care, will be hosted by Dr. Fiona Clement, Director of the Health Technology Assessment and Appraisal Unit, O’Brien Institute for Public Health, and Assistant Professor, University of Calgary.

Inspired by her year as a Harkness Fellow, Dr. Fiona Clement will challenge some commonly held preconceptions about the Canadian health care system and put forward her ideas about what we could do differently. With her particular focus on evidence-informed policy, Dr. Clement will propose concrete steps forward for integrating evidence into the system, outline uniquely Canadian challenges, and talk about what needs to change to get us to where she thinks we need to be — a sustainable, universally accessible, equitable health care system.

The lecture will take place at 1:00 p.m. EDT on October 27, 2015 in Ottawa and online via webinar.

Registration is now closed.
