Do you know someone who has been a leader and champion of health technology assessment (HTA) over many years, or perhaps a rising star with the potential to significantly advance this field of research? Nominations are now being accepted for two prestigious awards for outstanding achievement in the field of HTA in Canada. These awards are a wonderful opportunity to promote the importance of HTA in Canada and recognize those who are helping to improve our health care system by making evidence a cornerstone of health technology decisions.
Dr. Jill M. Sanders Award of Excellence in Health Technology Assessment
The Dr. Jill M. Sanders Award of Excellence in Health Technology Assessment recognizes individuals whose outstanding achievements have significantly advanced the field of HTA in Canada. More about award details and eligibility.
The Maurice McGregor Award
The Maurice McGregor Award recognizes rising HTA stars who have the potential to be leaders in the field as their career develops. More about award details and eligibility.
Award Recipients Will Receive
In addition to being formally presented with the award during the 2017 CADTH Symposium, which will be held in Ottawa from April 23 to 25, the recipients will receive complimentary registration plus paid travel and accommodation to attend the Symposium.
Award Nomination Process
Any Canadian or Canadian resident can submit a nomination. The nomination form must include the name and contact information of the nominee and a list of their accomplishments relevant to the award. Letters of support can also be provided, but are not mandatory. Please send letters of support, clearly stating the nominee’s name, to Symposium@cadth.ca
Completed nominations must be received by January 30, 2017.
